firefox 3.7 new design

Mozilla’s Browser – Firefox – is becoming more popular. Once version 3.5 was released, it rose in the charts and marked a great progress. During this time, Mozilla is already thinking of the next version of Firefox, which will be version 3.7.

There are several ideas for new design of the browser. There are user ideas of Mac and Linux. Here’s what are the planned changes by Mozilla based on various sources:

1. Embracing Glass: The main toolbar and tabs will take effect from the Aero Glass.
2. Page Button: Before tab there will be a button Page.
3. Tools / Bookmark Bar: After the the search engine will be added new button – Tools. You can change the program interface with it. Next to this button will be another who will be responsible for bookmarks.

These are just ideas. It is uncertain whether they will be realized in the new version of the popular browser.

Ugh. I’ve used Firefox for years, but I don’t like the look of that interface. It’s so similar to the minimalist look used by Safari and Chrome (one of the reasons I can’t stand Chrome). But really, I think that a menu bar is essential to all programs except maybe a media player, as well as the Home button, which this design also lacks.

Mozilla did make it as clear as possible that the designs were “simply for exploration/brainstorming”, so it’s not yet likely that that will be the next default theme. But if it is, I’m downloading the “Strata” theme used by Firefox 3.0 and 3.5.

I agree with the previous comments about simplicity. It’s possible to make things too simple. Maybe it’s just because these are Vista screenshots, but I’m also annoyed by the chunky 3D aspect of this theme. Hopefully there will be some good themes to restore the blandness to Firefox. When the browser is so flashy it competes with the website content you’re looking at.

I agree that this sort of thinking and extreme behaviour is unhealthy. ,
