Feel Firefox - blog, extensions, themes and more

Let Firefox find it for you

October 23rd, 2007

When you type a URL into Firefox’s address bar a drop-down menu appears based on your history. To select the most relevantaddress you use the arrow keys (or your mouse) to select it.

How-to-geek has simple but powerful way to add a little power to your address bar:

In the Firefox URL bar type this:

about:config

This will bring up the Firefox configuration options.

Find the browser.urlbar.autoFill entry and double-click on that. That will change the ‘value’ field entry to ‘true’.

Now, next time you type in a website address, the address bar in Firefox will automatically complete using the entry at the top of the list. Other Firefox tips.
