Shareaholic extension

August 20th, 2007

Socialize this, socialize that. Yep, its all about letting others know what you like and snooping on what others like.

If that works for you, Bzzster has released Shareaholic, a Firefox extension, that lets you share the current visited web page through some of the most notable link sharing sites: digg, reddit, Facebook, StumbleUpon and Google Bookmark. One click and you are ready to go. No more looking for web publishers provided buttons, and no more bookmarklets piling up.

ShareaholicAdditionally you can also send a link by email using Bzzster service, a different approach to bookmark sharing that still provides the convenience of a record of all shared links and the opportunity to find a gem among other’s submissions.

The Shareaholic menu also lists the twenty something most recently emailed links by Bzzter’s users and displays how many times the current web page been dugg or saved to del.icio.us.

I just hope it was extensible and more social sites could be added (and removed) from the share menu and that it was available as a status bar icon. I guess emailing links via Gmail, Yahoo! and other web mail providers is out of question since it’s Bzzster’s business.

Get Shareaholic from Mozilla Addons.
